This kit contains the one critical wear item that needs constant replacement if you have a great white pool cleaner and buying the whole kit is the only way to get the one part (ratchet gear) needed to make the cleaner operate.
It is very annoying since it is really only the one ratchet gear that needs to be replaced, which by itself cannot cost more than $5, but of course you are forced to purchase the whole kit for $60+.
I'm sure its not the vendor's fault, this is the cleaner manufacturer's ploy to charge more for parts.
All the parts included in the kit fit and work perfectly, but the point is, the other parts are not worn out enough to cause the unit to go round in circles re-cleaning the same spot in the pool forever, only the ratchet gear gets worn to the point that requires replacement annually.
Would have been a 5 star rating if I could buy just the one item, as it is, after 4 replacement kits in 5 years, I just purchased a different pool cleaner for the same $240 that I spent and never looked back.
