I was hoping for but didn't really expect the light output from this thing to be bright. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is. This one light illuminates a large area very well, better than the dual head halogen light it replaced (which blew bulbs every year and used 10 times more power). I mounted it on the eave of my 3 story home and aimed it toward the driveway. I can easily see to roll my trash cart out to the street which is at least 100 feet away.
