This is the perfect tool for trimming tree branches and finishing the job. It has plenty of power to cut branches up to at least 8" wide. And being a 2-in-1 saw is a big advantage and money saver. Use it on the pole to trim branches 15'+ off the ground. Then with the press of 2 quick release latches, connect the the two pieces of the saw together and cut up the branches you just trimmed. With the B&D or the Earthwise PS40008 pole saw, you almost have to buy another chain saw to cut up the branches on the ground. Otherwise with the pole collapsed, you have to stand about 5 feet from the branch you are cutting up.

The saw is fairly light, but does have some weight when on the extended pole. If you pick up the pole toward the saw end, then stand it up straight, you can lift the pole straight up fairly easy. If you try to pick it up at the end near the extension cord and try to lift the saw up to a branch, it takes a lot more effort.

Whats also nice is its light enough to use with a step later. Which allows you to reach branches that are 20'+ off the ground. And if you have an extension cord that can reach the trees you are trying to trim, this is probably a better buy then a battery operated version. The batteries for those models are expensive, eventually go bad and sometimes run down before you can finish the job.

I highly recommend this saw, if your looking for a versatile pole saw, that has a plenty of power.
