The cover certainly keeps moisture out when used with the bubble. For the bubble we learned that the input valve was not a standard size and the company so "graciously" offers to sell you their pump designed just for this bubble since it is not included in the package. We managed to inflate it with our own pump so not a problem. Just wish the tie-down feature for the cover was a little different - their are 6 fixed places to tie down the cover: one centered on each end and 2 spread across each side. Unfortunately they don't line up perfectly with where I can attach this to the legs of my chairs. Perhaps a drawstring type closure would work better for varying design differences with outdoor furniture.
