It is waaaayy larger than you can imagine. Our original wall lanterns were 14-inches so I thought it wouldn't hurt to go up two inches. The pictures and description just don't give you the sense of scale this thing has so I ordered them. Big mistake. I could tell the minute I took it out of the box this was too big. You need a large home for this piece and mine isn't that big. I was able to return it and purchased the 12-inch lanterns instead. Much better. Amazon was great on the return process, by the way.
