Whatever you do, DO NOT USE ANY KIND OF THREAD SEALING COMPOUND ON THIS - PARTICULARLY THE YELLOW STUFF. IT WILL DESTROY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And, it will not be covered by warranty. The instructions say to use either teflon tape or PVC thread compound. The YELLOW PVC compound will DESTROY ABS plastic, which is what this is made of. They don't tell you this - you have to read the very, very, fine print.

The valve itself is fine, but this is a replacement for the one that was destroyed by the yellow stuff.

Just use regular old teflon tape
