I bought this reel because I really wanted a hose reel that would stand up to the years and be very convenient. When I initially removed it from the box, it seemed to be very solid and well built. I was very happy to have a hose reel that I thought would last for years. Turned out, it lasted for about a a minute.

They used quality metal in what seemed like all the right places....until I hooked it up. As I found out, they used weak plastic in a very key spot which secures the water input spigot to the hose reel. I hooked up a hose and wound it up on the reel and then turned on the water and after about a minute, it was a leaking everywhere. I took a closer look and the spigot had shot out the back of the reel and was laying on the ground spraying everywhere.

I will not be getting a replacement as I cannot see the weak plastic holding together for more than a year or two. In conclusion, I am extremely dissappointed in a product that costs so much that I had such high expectations for. I've included a couple of pictures and a video showing how the reel failed.
