The 24-gauge galvanized steel can resists rust and corrosion. The flexible metal hose with squeeze-trigger spout helps provide controlled pouring. Living Accents Fiesta Charm Picnic Table Frame Review

This is the second time in 20 years that I have made a picnic table using this tubular metal table base system. The first time was when my daughter was small and recently when she got her own house. Both times the assembly was very easy and made me look like a pro. Even if you are an accomplished handyman and could build a table from scratch, this system is great if you just don't have a lot of time.
One alteration I would suggest is to replace the four 3 1/4 inch screws used join the legs together with four 3 inch screws. The longer screws leave too much exposed screw sticking out in an area where legs and feet could get scraped. Or, just hacksaw off the excess screw and file it smooth with a metal file.
I've used 2x10 treated boards. Any wood exposed to the elements tends to warp over time. The wider boards provide the most consistently level area and fewest boards to become distorted.

Davis Replacement Anemometer Part #6410 Review

I installed this anemometer on my roof so I could get more accurate wind direction and speed measurements than with the anemometer built into my Vantage Vue weather station. I also had to purchase the Anemometer Transmitter Kit ($170), in order to wirelessly transmit the wind data to my Vantage Vue console. I installed both on a metal pole ($5), attached to my roof using a Winegard SW-0012 Gable End Mount ($27). It was very simple and straightforward following the instructions to connect it to the transmitter. I have noticed a VAST improvement to the consistency of the wind direction during periods of sustained wind. The one on my Vantage Vue would be all over the place, because of all the spurious eddies. This is because it was 1) only 5-feet off the ground and 2) it hung below the Vantage Vue unit and near the pole the unit is attached to. The only thing I didn't like about this device was that it cost me over $300 when including all the other items I had to buy with it.

In The Swim Chlorine-Free Pool Shock 24 lbs Review

I've been using this product (almost exclusively) all summer. I have not seen cloudy water or any evidence of algae. The active ingredient in non-chlorine shock is potassium monopersulfate or PMP. It has little if any oxidizing potential but it does free chlorine bound up in chloramine compounds and makes it available to sanitize again. And the pool can stay open while this process takes place. But be aware that after prolonged summer use pool water has little or no chlorine or chloramines, since sunlight and bather load have used up almost everything. Adding non-chlorine shock at this point will do nothing because the PMP has nothing to work with. Make sure to take a total chlorine reading before using non-chlorine shock. If total chlorine is low use a shock containing chlorine.

WORX WG541 18-Volt NiCd Cordless Blower/Sweeper Review

The blower is ok but the battery does not last more than 5-7 minutes. I called Worx and they replaced the battery but it still does not work more than 7 - 10 minutes. Worx said I needed to recondition the battery by draining it totally then recharging (4 times) and to always drain fully before putting back on charger. This did not work. When I asked Worx for my money back they told me they couldn't do that at this time (even though the product is under the 2 yr warranty timeframe).
Bottom line: don't waste your money. Product is POOR.
