We set up our first hot tub last year and went to the local spa shop and picked up chlorine products. I had no idea what I was doing at the time, but trusted the store. I had to add significant amounts of chlorine to keep up the levels. Thus when I drained / refilled the spa this year, I did my research this time. After finding out that bromine was more stable at higher temps, unlike chlorine, I tried to find a "all in one" kit for bromine. This kit does have *most* everything that you need, plus some things that you probably don't ever need. The included DVD disk walked me through the process and gave good explanation for the whole startup process. The included manual is essentially a copy of the DVD. I really like the bromine FLOATER that you simply place in your spa and it continuously releases bromine. As of now, the only other product that I've needed to buy outside the kit is a Calcium supplement. My H2O was low on calcium, thus needed supplemented, but this is not in the kit. Thus this is my reason for the 4 star instead of 5. AFTER this, I will likely be buying in bulk, but this starter kit was a great purchase to get things running.
