Coveside Panoramic In-house Window Bird Feeder with Mirrored Panel Review

I live in Miami. Here is the complete description of the installation of my In-house Panoramic Feeder: I opened the window, slid the bird feeder in place, and shut the window. That's it! It looks like a custom installation. It fits perfectly in the window and is a very attractive addition to the room. I put it in my study next to my computer so I can look up birds on the computer as they come to the feeder. In less than three weeks I had birds eating from the feeder. And with the mirrored petition I can get within one inch of them - nose to beak. So far I have only had two kinds of birds: mourning doves and blue jays. But later in the year when birds begin migrating down from the north, I hope to get greater variety. So far I haven't gotten a lot of birds but everyday I see a few birds. This morning a blue jay spent maybe 15 or 20 seconds feeding before flying away. What fun!

Update: Its now a few weeks later and the mourning doves have taken over my feeder. They come in groups of six or eight, quickly gobble up all the food and keep other kinds of birds away. I scare them away with a noise but they always come back. From what I've read on the Internet Doves tend to like platform feeders of this kind.

Two months later: The rain comes in around and under the birdfeeder. Short of permanently installing the bird feeder in the window, I see no way to keep the rain from leaking in.
