I had a backyard that flooded easily whenever it rained. These did the trick. I bought two, as well as one of the 12" units.First of all, the units are very sturdy. You can stand on the grating without breaking it, so it can be used near traffic areas. Like another reviewer said, it doesn't have any screws, so you have to get your own. I bought the 6" extender, so get extra screws. It will work without them, but its better to be safe.
The unit will accommodate 16 4" pipes if necessary: 8 on the lower part and 8 on the upper part. It just depends on what your requirements are. One unexpected issue was that the walls are very tough! The postcard-sized "instructions" said to use a knife to cut the holes for the pipe. You better have a good knife. I went nowhere with a sharp blade. I tried a drywall knife and it caught in the teeth easily. A hacksaw blade in a handle worked best for me. That said, I prefer this to one that I could easily cut because I would wonder if it would collapse when stressed.
Each 20" unit comes with 5 gaskets that work very well. Fernco has more. I couldn't find any on Amazon at the time.
