So far this unit has proved a point and got the job done! This one is fairly quiet compared to others in the same category. A metal impeller is great for this blower, a plastic one will wear out or break. The changeover to vacuum process is excellent! It isn't Fall yet, therefore, my wife cannot check the balance out. She is 4'9", approx 110 lbs and 83 y.o. and the balance of these units is critical when operating it for a hour or more continuously. We both enjoy yard work a lot and take it in short intervals. Therefore, we have to select our equipment carefully.
One thing we have noticed about many DIY'ers, too many extension cords connected together. This is a bad habit, the equipment will overheat and will fail shortly. If you just have to have two cords together, check the equipment occassionally for excessive HEAT and STOP, give it a rest.
