When I opened the box and read the instructions, I thought "piece of cake." How hard could it be to slide 4 doors into place and attach the 4 walls? The plastic was warped and nothing fit as it should. The sliding doors are just barely hanging on, a squirrel or raccoon will have no trouble ripping one off. The walls refused to fit and I'd get one wall attached to another and it would come undone as I tried to attach the third wall. The lid doesn't fit tightly and will need a brick (if it will hold it; it's pretty thin) to prevent it from blowing off in a breeze. I have no idea how it will work as a composter (it's pretty basic so it should work) but the functionality of the doors is in grave doubt.

CobraCo HHRLEF Leaf Design Copper Finish Hose Holder Review

Go to any hardware store and get a can of 11 oz. clear lacquer spray. Cost is about $6 ($8, including shipping, if you order on Amazon) and you will only use about one-third of the can by the time you're done. Place normally somewhere in your yard, away from plants, animals, etc. Spray on a couple coats in warm weather. Make sure to spray the inside and outside of the copper holder on each pass. I take a deep breath, then spray as much as I can, move 10 to 20 feet away and exhale; then inhale fresh air again before resuming. Same procedure until you've made one complete coat, inside and out, which should be in about 1 minute. Fumes from these lacquer sprays are not something you should breath in, and the instructions say to also wash your hands with soap when you're done. Although the spray says "instant drying," let each coat dry about 20 minutes. After these 3 coats, flip the holder over to expose the bottom, facing up. Same procedure, spray the bottom and also the outside, again, since it's exposed anyway. Three coats and you're done. There's no rust problems - probably not in our lifetimes anyway. And it makes the hose holder even more attractive, bringing out the leaf pattern. You can always repeat after about 5 years or so, just to be sure.

For years I've been trying to find a raccoon-proof high capacity bird feeder. There are many squirrel-proof ones, but this is the *only* raccoon proof one in existence as far as I can tell. Raccoons have destroyed many plastic ones that I've tried, so I learned that any feeder must be all metal. Second, no matter how big of a baffle I put on my wire a raccoon will still get past it, so the metal feeder must also have a metal cage. This feeder is indestructable and raccoons can't get into it, plus, it holds several weeks worth of seed, so it's great!

A while back I purchased a set of Apollo pink hardware tools for my wife - Apollo Precision Tools DT9706P 39-piece Pink General Tool Set and they were excellent and so I thought this set would also help her in the garden. First thing you notice is the storage briefcase is huge! I was expecting a small case like the General Tool Set but this is massive - as wide as a washing machine. It has lots of tools there as you can see in the product pic, and they're well constructed and fit really tight in the case so won't be lost after use. Speaking of which, the shocking pink color has a very real-world use since when you place a tool on the soil to tend to some plant or something you can easily find it again thanks to the bright pink. I don't know why so many garden tools are painted to be as stealthy as possible. Perhaps the manufacturers are hoping you'll lose the tool and have to buy a new one. There's no worry of that happening here!
