Cooper Lighting MSLED180W Motion Activated Solar Powered LED Floodlight. 180 Degrees up to 70-foot White Review

I purchased this security light with some apprehension as a solar powered one (different manufacturer) bought several years ago did not perform well. That previous purchase used a 6 volt battery which did not last or could be charged adequately with the solar collector provided. I threw it in the garbage after 2 years.

I went with the LED to reduce the battery drain but waffled between multiple LEDs and the single one per light on this brand. I am not disappointed, the brightness is exceptional even if not equal to a 120 volt halogen. Large reflectors emit good light over acceptable distance and coverage and you can't look directly into the lights they are so bright.

A weakness is that the light will have to be removed (unscrewed) to change the battery (hopefully not often), but it's hard to engineer all the good features into a small package. As well the sensor has limited movability so mounting position is important to get the correct sensor coverage. Reading the settings marks is very difficult as they are the same white as the body. I had to color them with a sharpie.

As with all these motion sensors the motion needs to be at right angles to the sensor for best sensitivity.

I gave it 4 stars only because it's on trial to see how long the battery lasts and if in winter the solar collector will be able to charge the unit properly.

I hate my pool. I hate taking care of my pool. I hate when my pool malfunctions.
Here's what happened:
We noticed that the returns were spewing DE powder into the pool. We had (last year) replaced the bag filters and were hoping that wasn't needed again.
In taking it apart we noticed the manifold cracked and separated at the air bleed thus causing this to happen.
Thank god for Amazon. One click and here it is. Fixed!
Now we just need to get all that DE powder OUT of the pool and back to the bags. Get sweepin.

Bought this so that my wife could meditate to the sound of running water. The fountain is made from very sturdy materials (even the faux stone) and can be assembled and up and running in minutes. The fountain has a very pleasant trickle sound and the yellow light will project a nice watery reflection on your ceiling when used indoors. nice addition of smooth stones you can place in the basin. My only (small) complaint is that the pump does generate a bit of 'fish tank' hum.

Also doubles as a cat drinking fountain (found this out after purchase LOL)

Hired professional electrician for the install. Lights look great and work as advertised. Kudos to the company for including all the hardware needed for installation and a well-written installation booklet. It includes many useful tips.

Especially pleased with the fine-tune capability of the sensor. I am geeky by nature, so really enjoyed taking the extra time to systematically test the sensor's range and angle of view. Both are exactly as advertised. Also confirmed the double-look-down capability, which detects things just in front of and directly below the unit.

Another nice feature is if you set the unit to nighttime operation only, and it's daytime, a small red LED on the face will light whenever it detects motion. This is handy to verify the unit is still working correctly without having to switch the unit to daytime operation.

Overall, very pleased with the purchase.
