Solo 4900445 Sprayer Carbon Fiber Telescoping Wand Review

Product attached perfectly and appeared to be exactly what I wanted - until I sent fluid thru it. This item is made of an extender tube within a larger, main tube. The larger, main tube had 3 or 4 cracks, each about 3 inches in length that were not visible at first glance. When fluid passed thru the tube in its "non-extended" configuration, there were a few drips at this location in the tube, but I wrote them off to water dripping from a new connection not fully tightened. When I extended to smaller tube inside to reach a more distant plant water began to pour out of the leaks. Needless to say, I have returned the item; however, now the item is no longer available with prime shipping and shows out of stock with Amazon.com. As a result, I will need to buy a different extension (which is a shame, because the design and weight of this model seemed perfect) plus I am supposed to wait up to 30 days for a refund.

Replacement received in only 6 days - no cracks this time. If you need this length (4 feet to about 7 feet), the light weight of this carbon fiber product is ideal.

This tent is super durable. I had my doubts about the poles when I first saw them, but they've taken all sorts of punishment by now and they haven't shown any sort of potential weakness.

The stitching is heavy duty, the material (inside and out) feels incredibly durable (I accidentally stabbed it with some pointy scissors and it didn't puncture it), the zippers are large and hefty, and there are tons of air vents/openings/etc to give you a good number of options when it comes to your setup.

Overall, I would highly recommend this to anyone, and I'm sure the rest of their tents are equally as strong and durable. I know when it comes time for a larger tent, I'll be getting this brand.

Timber Tuff TMB-65 Fiberglass Handled Timberjack Review

I was frustrated searching for specs. on the log jacks (and peaveys) offered on the internet, so following is a description of this tool.
I've held off on purchase of a log jack because either the price was too high or not sure if the construction was not as heavy duty as required for the job. Just got the Timber Tuff today so no field test yet. The tool is heavy duty. The jackstand (3/8"x 1" steel) bolts inside a rectangular tube of heavy steel (doubt that will ever fail). The base of the jackstand is welded to the ground rest and looks like it will hold up well (often the weak point). Attaching a piece of 2"x4" (u-bolts) to broaden the ground rest for muddy soils will be easy, but likely unnecessary because of the 1.25" diameter of the groundrest tube (10" long and unfortunately not plugged at the ends). The hook (3/8" x 1" steel) is cut from a single piece and inserts inside a channel welded to the steel post base (1/8" thick 2" steel tubing). It is held in the channel and pivots on a heavy bolt so pulling it off to regrind the point will be easy (will do that before first use). The spike on the post is a triangle of 1/8" steel and might be a design/build compromise but certainly should hold up and will take many sharpenings (I will file a sharper point on that also before first use). The post base is 11" long and the solid fiberglass handle is inserted into its entire length (no open tubing end to plug with mud like the groundrest tube). The fiberglass handle (51") looks bomb-proof and has a 16" plasticized rubber grip. The grip is relatively thick, but might loosen and twist with use (and need to be glued on if that happens). I always wear heavy gloves, so if the grip is any hassle, I will simply use the log jack without it (like my previous peavey). And finally, the yellow powder coat paint looks good.
I prefer to buy products made in the USA, but not sure it is possible to even know where something is made these days until the box arrives with "made in China" on the side (this tool). This looks like one hefty log jack and at a very good price compared to the others on the market.

WeedEater 966782501 T3000 Electric Garden Blower/Vaccum Review

So far this unit has proved a point and got the job done! This one is fairly quiet compared to others in the same category. A metal impeller is great for this blower, a plastic one will wear out or break. The changeover to vacuum process is excellent! It isn't Fall yet, therefore, my wife cannot check the balance out. She is 4'9", approx 110 lbs and 83 y.o. and the balance of these units is critical when operating it for a hour or more continuously. We both enjoy yard work a lot and take it in short intervals. Therefore, we have to select our equipment carefully.
One thing we have noticed about many DIY'ers, too many extension cords connected together. This is a bad habit, the equipment will overheat and will fail shortly. If you just have to have two cords together, check the equipment occassionally for excessive HEAT and STOP, give it a rest. I've got many electrical tools that are 35+ y.o. that are working excellently, because I don't let them OVERHEAT! Good luck in your shopping and I hope this info is useful.
