I purchased this to replace a defective membrane pad which apparently are not very reliable. There were no installation instructions included so I had to guess on how to install it but it wasn't hard to do. It attaches to the heater using double back tape. The ribbon cable connects to a circuit card inside the heater and you need to open up the heater to connect he cable.

I also brought a kettle type barbecue cover for the heater to protect the membrane so hopefully it will last longer than the previous one.
