These chains were difficult to put on because of the stiffness of the rubber cross bars not wanting to bend over the edge of the tire. The fit was good after finally getting the chains connected. As I expected, they do not have as much traction in grass as the old set of steel chains that I had. The main reason for getting these was so that I would not scratch up/mark up the concrete when the tires spun while using the tractor and snow blower. On hard surfaces they have good traction. I do not know how they will work on ice covered areas.
