When I opened the box, I was a bit worried about how it would look when lit. It really looks fabulous. It shines brightly with the recommended wattage of 60 watts. The features show very distinctly when lit. Baby Jesus does not show as well as Mary and Joseph. I wish more care had been given to the creation of the baby so that it was more prominant in the display. The pieces are a bit light-weight, so place them in a sheltered area or find a way to anchor them. A good value for the money.
