I didn't like the basic black lamp posts that I was seeing at the Home Depot and Lowes, so after searching around Amazon for a while, I came across this post. Price is good, I recieved it fast, it was easy to put together and it looks great. Don't think you're going to fool anyone in thinking that its a wood post - its obvious that its PVC since its got that little shine to it, but it doesn't matter. It goes very well with my white colonial cape cod house and no one else in my neighborhood has anything like it. Its also very tall - probably about a foot taller than most other posts. I like that though since I won't knock my head on the lamp now when I'm mowing the grass around it.
