Product Description
EZ-FLO Hose Bib and Drip Systems Feed through a Garden Hose, Drip System or After the Irrigation Zone Valve Every time You Water 3/4 Gallon Size - .75 gallon (2.8 liters) EZ-FLO Hose Bib and Drip Systems can be connected in a variety of ways. Most people attach the unit to a standard exterior water faucet with anti-siphon protection (hose bib) existing on most homes. In addition, it can be connected to an existing sprinkler or drip irrigation system after any valve as long as the unit is only under pressure while it is operating. EZ-FLO Hose and Drip systems can be installed in minutes by the average homeowner and are great for use when you don't have a dedicated irrigation system or want to separately address certain types of plants that require specialty garden fertilizers and supplements. t is important to note that the tanks of these units are made of polyethylene plastic that is not designed to withstand constant water pressure. They need to be depressurized after each use in order to ensure a long service life. They can handle up to 80 PSI (5.5 bars) in their operating mode which is the normal maximum pressure limit for most plumbing systems. All standing water pressure should be relieved after each use.EZ-FLO 3/4 Gallon Hose Bib Fertilizing System Review
I purchased this to water tomatoes.I used Miracle Grow in granular form. I just put in the Miracle Grow and added water to dissolve the fertilizer.
The container has to be screwed on -very tight- in order to not leak.
The "flow rate" dial (on the top) is -hard- to turn and adjust. I'm not sure how much difference the settings make in the amount of product dispensed as the contents are mixed with incoming water and gradually get weaker as time of use goes on.
There are three small washers with different sized holes that can be inserted in the connection to the hose. These are used for low volume water flow rates. I used it with a flow rate of about 1 gpm and it seemed to work well.
UPDATE:
After using this for a month one of the 'nipples' where the small hoses connect to the adapter broke off. The small hoses are pretty 'stiff' so I can see how this might frequently happen. The folks at Drip Depot are pleasant to work with and are sending me a new adapter. The adapter on mine is a different color (white) than the one currently pictured (black) so I am hoping it as been redesigned to be stronger.
