I would've loved wood- this has shine and looks fake when close but as I look across the grass it looks very nice. I wish it would've been in 2 parts instead of so many to glue together. On the positive side, placed over a treated, wooden, cemented, 4x4 post, it's there for a long time- won't rot- and has the colonial look I love!!!
