This is attached to our deck that everyone sees so I tried other prettier heated bird baths and they gave out quite soon so we went back to this bird bath that we used in the past. Our old one had been used for 11 years and finally gave out so we decided that we had such good luck with it we should just buy it again. As soon as we got it, our temperature dipped to -7 degrees and the bird bath stayed cozy warm for the birds. From now on we'll just stay with the tried and true. They are now offering a different insert to be used in the summer and we'll be purchasing that as soon as spring is here. Would definitely recommend this. Most of the consumer Reviews tell that the "Erva BA1H Clamp Mount Heated Bird Bath, Gray/Black" are high quality item.
