Let's talk about all the good stuff first:This brand is reputable and reliable. The kit comes with everything you'll need for installation. The sensor looks both FORWARD in a 180 sweep, but also STRAIGHT DOWN (great for positioning over doorways). It has a built-in darkness sensor. It has a built in "timer mode" (flip the associated wall switch on and off three times, and it'll turn on at dusk and stay on for up to 8 hours). It works with CFL bulbs, even though the instructions say it shouldn't. It can be ganged together with other sensors on the same circuit. The mounting plate has three additional 1/2" holes for mounting fixtures of your choice.
Now the not so good:
This sensor, compared to others, is big, ungainly, and spindly. The plastic arm it hangs from is overly lightweight, flexible, and don't even think about overtightening the screws. There are many nooks and crannies for hiding spiderwebs and dead bugs. Cleaning needs to be unnecessarily delicate due to how it hangs off the mounting plate (a quick swipe with a broom would just a quick knock it out of alignment). And the mounting plate, already large and obvious, doesn't come with the reversible hole plugs to give more of a finished look to the final installation, as RAB sees fit to do with their TUFF DOME 180.
I have one of these Stealth 360 units on the same circuit as two RAB Lighting SB500W sensors, serving five fixtures on my back and side yards, all equipped with CFL bulbs. This setup has been in operation for about four years, with no trouble to speak of.
Unlike the SB500 units, which mount inside single gang wall boxes, the STEALTH is all external, and mounts just as well to 4" round box. If you don't plan on attaching any fixtures directly to the universal mounting plate that ships with the STEALTH, RAB makes a slightly nicer looking alternative in the same bronze color (RAB C100A Round Cover.
What I got in trade for this "hanging off the wall" ugliness is a sensor that looks straight down. Positioned over the doggy door, it provides full coverage in a way that I couldn't easily have achieved with just the SB500 units.
The STEALTH has another trick up its sleeve: It has a timer mode. Flip the associated light switch on and off three times, and the sensor sets itself up to turn on automatically at dusk, and stay on for the length of time that's been preset on the dial, up to 8 hours. This function repeats every day until you cycle the power again, making it a great vacation timer while nobody is home for a few days. There's also the standard double flip, manual override mode that most motion sensor lights employ.
Wiring multiple RAB sensors to a shared circuit is very straightforward using 3-wire Romex: power (from the light switch) comes to each sensor on the black lead, and switched power (switched by the sensor) is wired to each lamp. This hasn't resulted in any complications; each sensor can be individually tested by masking the others, and any one sensor activating will energize the whole circuit.
