First this is made in china... It is best to set the parts out in the sun for a day to get rid of the chemical smell!!!
your first clue on how to put this together-as usual the directions are pictures- the screws that are with the kit are a laugh and the dowling glued into the parts are tiny! If you put it together using the screws given than expect any raccoon, possum or skunk to eat your kids pet!

INSTEAD.....

I went to my local, Lowes hardware and picked up 8 packages of L Brackets/ corner braces- the brand-Stanley 1 inch x 1/2 inch and a package of Zinc Hex Washer Head screws 10x1/2 -#100 in a pkg. For the base of the hutch/ house I used the L brackets to fasten the walls together ( from inside) top and bottoms of all sides. I placed in the provided "wood floor pieces" and from the underside fastened the floor to the walls. I hammered a couple braces flat and screwed the 2 floor pieces together. Since I put the hutch on wheels I did not want a varmit pushing the floor up.

NOTE: they provide you with a divider....mine was a laugh!! no matter how I tried it was either too large or too small to fit. So I tossed it out.

For the "Screened run area" I hammered numerous L brackets flat so as to connect the sides together. For the top piece to the run, I again hammered L braces flat and then secured the front top part to the run sides leaving the part closest to the hutch open able for cleaning. I will install a varmit proof latch to secure this later. Depending on how high any wheels used are....if you choose to put your on wheels for easier moving...you will need to add wire to the bottom of the whole assembly to prevent varmits from entering.

All in all I am happy with the unit. I made sure to comb the net to look for the best price!I did not want to spend the time making a small hutch for my broody hen to hatch and rear her chicks. This will do nicely.
